About the Role
This is a founding commercial hire for the US market at a Y Combinator–backed enterprise AI startup building agents that automate ERP implementations, AI rollouts, and customer onboarding. You'll work directly with the founding team to close the first wave of US customers, stand up a partner channel, and build the sales playbook that future hires will inherit. It's a high-autonomy role with a clear path to US commercial lead.
What You'll Do
- Own the full US sales cycle end to end — self-sourced outbound, discovery, demo, technical evaluation, procurement, and close.
- Sell both direct (annual platform contracts to enterprises) and through a partner channel of systems integrators, VARs, and consultancies.
- Build US pipeline from near zero: define target account lists, test positioning, and identify which segments convert.
- Run demos and technical evaluations independently, translating agentic workflows into the language of finance, IT, and operations buyers.
- Navigate multi-stakeholder deals from hands-on champions (implementation leads, controllers, RevOps, data engineers) up to CFO/CIO signatories.
- Recruit, enable, and co-sell with SI and VAR partners to build a compounding channel.
- Codify the sales motion — qualification criteria, discovery questions, pricing guardrails, objection handling, and deal stages — for future hires.
- Maintain a tight feedback loop with the founding team and influence the product roadmap.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years closing complex B2B software deals end to end, including self-sourced pipeline.
- Experience selling ERP, iPaaS, data integration, or data infrastructure platforms (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Sage Intacct, Boomi, Workato, Celigo, Fivetran, or similar).
- Technical credibility with data, systems, and integration buyers — able to run demos and hold architecture conversations without SE support.
- Proven ability to close $50k+ ACV deals into multi-stakeholder buying committees spanning finance, IT, operations, and the C-suite.
- Experience building, enabling, or co-selling with SI, VAR, or consulting partner channels.
- Founding-hire or first-AE experience at a seed or Series A AI or developer-tools company is a strong plus.
- Comfortable operating independently with minimal support infrastructure and a distributed, international founding team.
- Based in the US and willing to travel to customer sites and occasionally to Europe.
