About the role We're hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build our pre-service products — the part of the platform that runs before a patient's visit: insurance eligibility and benefits, prior authorization, referrals, and patient cost estimates. Most of this work is under the hood. No single source in healthcare gives a complete answer, so we have many ways to extract the data we need — and the real engineering is in combining and interpreting them. You'll build AI-based workflows that weigh what each source returned, resolve the conflicts, and produce the most reliable answer we can, and use production data to find where we fall short on real customer problems. Our stack is Python-first, and we're looking for engineers who are comfortable designing and evolving backend systems in Python. You'll collaborate closely with the founder, engineering leadership, product managers, designers, and fellow engineers. We are a hybrid company, partly based in Santa Monica, USA and partly remote, spread out around the United States & Europe.
