About the Job
This role owns the software layer that helps a modern factory actually run. You will architect and evolve a lean systems stack across operations, quality, maintenance, and visibility, with the freedom to decide where software should be bought, built, or avoided entirely.
What You'll Do
-
Architect the systems layer supporting production, quality, maintenance, and decision-making
-
Evaluate build vs. buy tradeoffs across core factory software domains
-
Design lightweight workflows and data models for greenfield and rapidly evolving operating environments
-
Partner with engineering and operations teams across internal sites and selected external programs
-
Help create a stack that can flex across new process categories and strategic manufacturing efforts
Required Qualifications
-
Experience building or owning software systems used in live operational environments
-
Strong product and architectural judgment in messy, cross-functional domains
-
Ability to simplify workflows rather than mirror complexity in software
-
Experience integrating multiple systems into a coherent operating model
-
Willingness to stay close to users and make pragmatic tradeoffs
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience with factory software domains such as SCADA, MES, HMI, analytics, CMMS, or quality systems
-
Experience in manufacturing or other high-consequence operational settings
-
Strong instincts around instrumentation and operational feedback loops
-
Experience replacing heavyweight enterprise processes with lean internal systems
-
Familiarity with strategic materials, process-intensive manufacturing, or adjacent regulated environments
