Technical Co-Founder, AI-Enabled Engineering

Apply on Repeatbuilders

You’ve shipped real product in demanding places, a fast-growing startup or a strong engineering team at a well-known tech company, and seen how much one engineer can move. Now you want to build something of your own.

You will not start from a blank page. Repeat Builders hands you a validated MVP with real demand already behind it, whether a waiting list or early customers willing to pay. The capital is committed, and Repeat Builders is with you from the first day. Your job is to build the company around that starting point.

The deal, up front

Most founder conversations start with two questions: how do we pay ourselves, and how do we raise. Both are settled before you begin.

  • A$3m of committed capital per venture, roughly two years of focused runway.
  • 30% equity for the founding team. Genuine founder ownership, not an employee option grant, allocated across however many founders the venture calls for.
  • You control the budget. Founder salaries are paid from the A$3m, and the founders set them, alongside every other cost, in a business plan Repeat Builders does not write for you.

Who this is for

You’ve spent a few years shipping in demanding places, whether a fast-growing startup or a strong engineering team at a renowned tech company. You know how much one engineer can move, because you’ve done it. Now you want to run your own venture.

What has held you back is real. Going solo is daunting without co-founders you trust. Bootstrapping is hard. Raising a first round is harder still. Go-to-market needs someone who has done it before.

Repeat Builders removes each of those blockers by design. The idea is validated before you arrive, so no months are lost searching for one. The capital is committed, so you build instead of raise. Repeat Builders decodes each venture to work out the founder mix it needs, then matches people whose skills complement each other and the product, so you are not covering ground outside your strengths alone. The AI-native company operating system and the hands-on support come from Repeat Builders, so your attention stays on the product.

About Repeat Builders

Repeat Builders is a Sydney venture builder running about five ventures a year, each on fixed, funded runway. Unlike an accelerator or a fund, Repeat Builders starts at the idea itself and stays embedded while you build. Every idea is validated through our own research and scoring before a founder is engaged, so you start from evidence rather than a hunch. Repeat Builders builds with AI across every venture, so the team around you already works the way you do.

What you will own

A venture arrives validated and funded, and it becomes yours to build. From the first week you own the technical reality of turning it into a company.

  • Ship a working product surface fast enough to get real market feedback inside the first sprint cycle.
  • Make the build, buy, or AI-assist call on every significant technical decision, including the harder judgement of when an AI-assisted path is faster in practice and when it only looks faster.
  • Stand up the engineering foundation a small team runs on, from the repo to CI/CD, before anyone else is there to set it.
  • Turn validated demand into shipped, tested product, working with your co-founder(s) and Repeat Builders and adjusting as user feedback replaces assumption.

What Repeat Builders puts behind you

The support is the point. It is what makes founding a considered move rather than a reckless one.

  • An AI-native company operating system: the playbooks, decision frameworks, governance, and tooling every venture runs on, so you are not rebuilding the back office from scratch.
  • Embedded support from Repeat Builders across product, hiring, and strategy. Repeat Builders works as a silent co-founder, bringing context and experience without taking your decisions from you.
  • A shared office at Tech Central, alongside the Repeat Builders team and a working community of founders, operators, and investors.

The involvement is heaviest at the start, when direction and pace matter most, and it reduces as the company builds its own capability.

What founding demands

There is a comfortable version of building. You take a ticket, wait for review, and ship on a fortnightly cycle. Founding does not run that way.

It asks for pace under uncertainty, before conditions are ever ideal. Product taste comes from real users, not from opinions in a room. Communication with your co-founder(s) and Repeat Builders has to be direct and high-signal, and the hard thing gets raised early, not after the fact. And you need the judgement to make a consequential call on partial information, then live with the result.

You have done some of this inside other people's companies. Here you own all of it.

The two-year arc

Repeat Builders takes the idea from zero to a validated MVP with real demand. You take it from there. Year one turns that starting point into a product in market and early, measurable traction.

By the end of year two, the company raises its next round on its own strength and runs independently of Repeat Builders, with its own team, systems, and operating rhythm. Our involvement tapers as yours grows.

Success is measured by traction rather than activity, and by whether what you have built can stand on its own.

What you will bring

  • Full-stack ability, proven by real product you have shipped and that people use. You built it somewhere demanding, whether a fast-growing startup or a strong engineering team, whatever the size or brand of the company.
  • AI has changed how you build, not just how you talk about it. You reach for coding and agent tools daily, and you know where they earn their keep and where they get in the way.
  • A significant technical or product decision you made on incomplete information and owned through to its outcome.

If you clear most of this and the rest of this ad speaks to you, apply. The things that make you unusual belong in the application, not on a checklist.
