About the Role
This is a high-ownership engineering role at an early-stage healthtech AI company building a payer intelligence platform for procedure-heavy specialties like Vascular Surgery, Interventional Cardiology, and Interventional Radiology. You'll sit at the intersection of product and client, owning the integration layer between the platform and the real-world provider and insurance systems it serves. Your work will directly shape how surgical practices operate day-to-day.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain integrations with provider practices and insurance systems using APIs, scrapers, and RPA where needed.
- Join client discovery sessions with the founding team to map workflows and translate them into clear technical requirements.
- Ship custom integrations quickly and iterate based on real-world feedback from live deployments.
- Contribute to core product development when integration work isn't the primary bottleneck.
- Develop deep working knowledge of the US provider/payer landscape over time.
What We're Looking For
- 2–5 years of full-stack engineering experience building and shipping production features end-to-end.
- Startup background with broad ownership across discovery, development, and delivery in small teams.
- Proven experience integrating with third-party APIs.
- Proficiency in Python and FastAPI (or equivalent backend frameworks) and React + TypeScript (or equivalent frontend).
- Active daily use of AI coding tools (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) with shipped production work to show for it.
- Strong communication skills — comfortable articulating technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong pluses: experience with web scrapers or RPA, US healthcare or provider/payer systems background, AWS or GCP infrastructure, and production LLM application development.
