Help Businesses Reduce Risk and Build Safer Workplaces

We're looking for a Loss Control Consultant to join our Leavitt Risk Advisory team to partner with commercial clients and help them create safer workplaces, reduce losses, and strengthen their overall risk management strategies.

In this role, you'll partner with business owners, executives, safety leaders, and insurance professionals to identify risks, improve safety performance, strengthen compliance efforts, and develop practical solutions that help organizations protect their people, operations, and bottom line.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site and virtual assessments of client operations, facilities, and safety programs to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Build strong client relationships and support client retention, growth, and overall program success.
  • Analyze claims data, OSHA records, and loss trends to uncover opportunities and help clients reduce losses and improve safety outcomes.
  • Develop practical, data-driven recommendations that support safer workplaces and stronger business operations.
  • Deliver training, resources, and guidance on workplace safety, accident prevention, incident investigation, fleet safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Help clients build and strengthen safety programs, employee engagement initiatives, and proactive risk management practices.
  • Partner with Producers, Account Executives, Claims Advocates, underwriters, and carrier representatives to deliver comprehensive risk management solutions.

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in loss control, safety consulting, risk management, commercial insurance, or a related field.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments and recommending practical solutions that drive measurable results.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety management systems, workers' compensation, loss prevention, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong communication, presentation, consulting, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience serving clients in industries such as construction, manufacturing, transportation, healthcare, hospitality, real estate, or public entities is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Risk Management, Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field preferred.
  • ASP, CSP, or the ability to obtain professional certifications is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to client locations as needed.
  • Current Property & Casualty (P&C) License preferred; willingness to obtain licensure may be required based on state regulations and role requirements.
  • Spanish bilingual skills are preferred but not required.
