JobStar has no candidate accounts and does not accept job applications, résumés, or applicant profiles. Application information entered after you follow an employer link is handled by that employer and its applicant tracking provider, not by JobStar.
Scope
This policy applies to jobstar.fun and mirrors that identify jobstar.fun as their canonical source. It does not govern employer career pages, applicant tracking systems, GitHub, X, Google, Vercel, or other linked services.
Information collected automatically
Hosting infrastructure may process standard request information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP address, request time, requested URL, browser or device information, referrer, and diagnostic logs. JobStar is hosted on Vercel; its handling of service data is described in the Vercel Privacy Notice.
When the production analytics configuration is enabled, JobStar uses Google Analytics to measure page views and interactions. The site sends interaction details such as click text, element type, link path or URL, and page location. Google may receive device, browser, network, cookie, or similar identifiers under its own service configuration and policies. Information you choose to provide
If you contact JobStar through GitHub or X, those services process your account information and the content you submit. A public GitHub issue is visible to anyone. Do not include sensitive personal information in a report. JobStar uses submitted information only to understand and respond to the request, maintain records of the project change, and protect the service.
How information is used
- Deliver, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the website.
- Measure aggregate traffic and interactions.
- Detect abuse and understand technical failures.
- Review listing corrections, removals, employer claims, and policy questions.
- Comply with valid legal obligations and protect users, the public, and the service.
JobStar does not sell personal information or maintain applicant profiles.
Service providers and disclosures
Information may be processed by infrastructure and analytics providers, currently Vercel and—when configured—Google Analytics. JobStar may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce site terms, investigate abuse, or protect rights and safety. No employer receives application data from JobStar because applications are completed on the employer's service.
Retention and security
JobStar keeps project reports and operational records only for as long as reasonably useful for maintenance, security, dispute handling, or legal obligations. Infrastructure and analytics providers apply their own retention settings and policies. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so avoid sending sensitive information through public channels.
Your choices and requests
- You can block or clear cookies and site storage through browser settings.
- You can use content blockers or Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- You can leave JobStar and apply directly through a company careers page.
- You can ask about access, correction, or deletion of information you submitted to JobStar.
Use the contact page for a privacy request. Do not put private information in a public issue; make a minimal initial request and ask for a private handling path.
